Learn the how-to's and should not's in the Spearfishing Fundamentals, everything from rigging, loading, personalized gear recommendations and in water trials with all of the tricks and tips in between. Spearfishing Fundamentals is the perfect introduction to the wild world of spearfishing. Learn rigging, loading, tips and tricks for getting the right set up, and so much more! FIinish the class off with some range time to put that knowledge to the test.
Prerequisites: Must be a compitent swimmer. This course is open to scuba and freedivers.
Minimum Age: Must be at least 12 to participate
Class Size: Typically 8 students or less
Class Location: Scuba Monkey Dive Center classroom and onsite indoor heated pool
Class Length: Approx. 2 hours
What will I learn? Learn rigging, loading, tips and tricks for getting the right set up, briefly cover regulations and licensing, target practice and more!
What do I need / bring: This course is open to scuba divers and freedivers. If you have a gun that you want to learn on and practice with, bring it. Bring snorkel and dive gear. If using your tanks, they must have boots. Rental gear is available upon request. Bathing suit and chest protection (wetsuit or skin with loading pad) is recommended.
Homework / Prestudy: There is no homework. Come ready to learn and play. Current Medical Waiver must be on file or filed out upon arrival.
